Los Angeles, CA — Wendy Williams won an Emmy last week, and broke barriers as the first transgender actor to star on a mainstream television show.
In her acceptance speech Williams said, “I’m just happy to act in ‘Orange is the New Black’ on Netflix. I’m also extremely happy to host my own talk show because millions of Americans rely on me to bring them important news like, which actress gained 10 pounds, or which celebrity is sleeping with which other celebrity.”
“I just don’t understand why some news reporters like Anderson Cooper feel like they have to run away from real news by flying off to beaches in the Middle East to hide behind armored tanks and flying bullets. At least while Anderson is over there he could tell us the facts that we all want to know like which soldiers outfits are the most stylish, or which soldier is sleeping with which other soldier.”
