Two of the students who were identified in last week’s viral video chanting “There will never be a nigger in SAE” have been expelled by the University of Oklahoma. Parker Rice and Levi Pettit were both on a bus, helping to lead the racist chant. Rice released a statement, and the parents of Pettit released their own, both claiming that their intentions were harmless, and that they are not racist. Rice stated, “Look. I said some dumb things. You know, nigger this, nigger that. Let’s lynch some niggers. Niggers have big lips. Wait. Did I say that in the video? I didn’t? Okay, scratch that last stuff. Point is, just because I don’t want coloreds in our fraternity, doesn’t mean I’m racist. Hell, I had a black friend one time.” When pressed to give the name of his black friend, Rice hesitated. “Jarack Glowbama?” Pettit’s parents were a little more apologetic in their statement. “Levi has done some dumb shit in his day. Being caught on video saying racist stuff is just another in a long line of mistakes we’ve had to release statements apologizing for. We’ve told him before, that if he’s going to be an idiot, make sure there aren’t cameras around. But trust us. We’re not racist. Racism is over. Right? It ended in 2008? I’m pretty sure it’s over.” Through a simple Google search, MTB confirmed racism is not over. Story will be updated.
